LLANETSY LLANES, Mesa  y  HERNANDEZ RODRIGUEZ, Izamir. Educational software using updated texts and electronic microscopy images of the eukaryote cell. EDUMECENTRO [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.3, pp. 141-155. ISSN 2077-2874.

Background: the knowledge on the cellular structure is indispensable to explain the phenomena that occur in the organism of any living being. Objective: to elaborate a software using updated texts and electronic microscopy images for the study of the characteristics of the eukaryote cell. Methods: a development investigation was carried out whose final product was an educational software on the eukaryote cell, in the period from September 2012 to March 2013. Theoretical methods were used: analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and the systemic-structural one; and empiric ones: documental analysis of the program, study plan and methodological guidelines of the Morphology-physiology subject I. it was elaborated using the computing program CrheaSoft version 2.0, the Photoshop CS4 adobe software and the ofimática Office 2003 suite. For its validation the experts and users approach was applied by means of the application of surveys. Results: in the documental analysis it was verified that the bibliography the students have for the study of the eukaryote cell is insufficient or obsolete, that´s why a digital product was elaborated with texts and images using the electronic microscopy for the study of the eukaryote cell. The product was validated by the experts' and users criteria, all the aspects were assessed with high qualifications. Conclusions: the software was considered viable and its content facilitates the study of the characteristics of the eukaryote cell to the students of all the health sciences careers.
