Resumen

MASSANI ENRIQUEZ, Jorge Félix; GARCIA NAVARRO, Xiomara  y  HERNANDEZ OCHOA, Elsa. The psycho-pedagogic evaluation of children with autism through the psycho-educative profile. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2015, vol.7, n.2, pp. 145-151. ISSN 2218-3620.

This article is the result of a research conducted in response to one of the current challenges of Special Needs Education related to the improvement and consolidation of the psycho-pedagogical diagnosis in students with Autism. Theoretical methods such as analysis-synthesis, historical-logical, the transition from the abstract to the concrete, modeling, and the systemic approach were used. Interview, participant observation, documents review, and case study were among the empirical methods applied. Given the regularities obtained, it is proposed a Psycho-educative Profile (assessment instrument) as modified by the authors with the introduction of aid levels, and the determination of indicators to evaluate the extension of the Zone of Proximal Development in children with autism diagnoses. The instrument was assessed using the experts´ assessment method and through case studies to corroborate its applicability. Significant results were obtained.
