The Distance Learning (DL) is in the twenty-first century, an alternative for institutions that students have a work commitment. The present investigation this paper aims to promote Metropolitan University (UMET) a methodology for the design of distance learning course of this institution. The scene where the research was conducted was in UMET and the sample used were the teachers and principals of race Headquarters Guayaquil. The key findings were that teachers do not make use of Information Technology and Communications (ICT) managers do not support their processes with a view to develop distance education mode and UMET has the kind of ideal students to develop this form of empowerment of knowledge. It can be concluded that the proposed methodology is to design a viable courses DL with the tenets of current pedagogical trends based on the role of alternative learning subjects.
