The article applies different educational techniques in older adults belonging to a gerontological center in the north of Guayaquil, Canton, to empower health promotion actions in this aged group. The results were evaluated at the end of their application. As a result, it is obtained that the promotion of health through the application of educational techniques in the older adults favors the acquisition of knowledge and skills allowing a positive feedback that favors changes in lifestyles, habits and customs in them, becoming this stage of life, more productive and enjoyable.
