The importance of the analysis of the pictorial works was fundamental to strengthen mechanisms of the current state of conservation of didactic materials implemented for the aesthetic, artistic, spiritual, academic and historical strengthening within the collection of the university art gallery; all reflected in technical sheet forms as a working tool which recorded properties of the work and presented a diagnosis of composition of the materials and techniques applied to 6 oil works, used as a sample for organoleptic analysis. The results made us know and value the importance and care of the materials that the pieces of the collection have more than 50 years, in relation to those of 20 years. In this sense, materials, applied artistic techniques, environment, manipulation of the works, among others, played an important role so that artists, owners of artistic works, museums, art galleries and collectors, become aware of keeping a technical record, making a diagnosis of the current state of conservation, which will guarantee a better stability of your artistic heritage assets; and therefore, as didactic pieces of social interaction.
