The objective of this research is to know the usefulness that indigenous university students give to social networks in the new normality. For this purpose, the quantitative methodological approach was used, with a universe of 55 students of the Degree in Education Sciences of the DAEA-UJAT. From the universe, 44 students were considered as a sample. For data collection, the Google Forms form was used as an instrument with 12 closed questions on a Likert-type scale with 3 response categories that were previously delimited. The results showed that indigenous university students are not limited in being able to access digital tools, most of them have a profile on social networks and are part of new technologies and the modern world, the applications they use the most are the of Facebook and WhatsApp, and they connect more than 4 hours a day. Therefore, it can be said that with technology and the expansion of the Internet, the inhabitants of indigenous communities benefit from being able to communicate with family, friends and be aware of what is happening in their community, country and the entire world.
