The causes of inequalities throughout the world have a multi-causal origin, however, these differences are correlated with the level of development of the different nations and production of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The ONU indicates that there are 258 million boys and girls on the planet, that is, 17% of the child and adolescent population that inhabits the globe, find themselves without access to education. Objective: The present research proposal aims to address the problem of socioeconomic inequalities and their relationship with access to education within Ecuador. Methodology: this bibliographic review was based on an exploration within the databases: Scielo, Ebsco, Redalyc, World Wide, Science.org, Redil and Scopus, in addition to the main postgraduate repositories, where the main laws are also referenced, that have affected ecuadorian education. Conclusions: within the Ecuadorian reality there is a development and improvements at the level of education, all this since the arrival of the "Citizen Revolution", finding various changes in its laws, which have affected the development of this plot, whose investment is it is subject to gross domestic product and other factors.
