ORELLANA GARCIA, Arturo; PEREZ ALFONSO, Damián y ESTRADA SENTI, Vivian. Analysis of hospital processes from the time perspective using process mining. Rev cuba cienc informat [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.1, pp. 130-146. ISSN 2227-1899.
Process mining includes different perspectives, among which is the time perspective, which turns out to be effective and useful in critical sectors such as health. It allows to determine temporary differences in health care processes, identify bottlenecks and eventualities that slow down the functioning of processes in hospitals. The objective of this research is to obtain the execution of alternative variants of hospital processes and their execution times. To this end, was developed a software component for the XAVIA HIS Hospital Information System, integrating the Variants Miner complement of ProM tool and the time perspective of process mining. The result of this research shows models in the tree form of the execution of the processes of the XAVIA HIS system. The nodes of the model represent the activities and contain a set of time metrics, such as minimum, average, maximum and total duration. The results of the application of the component in the system for which it was developed will allow analysts to obtain qualitative and quantitative criteria to make clinical management decisions and will provide a mechanism to generate new knowledge based on the interpretation of data stored in the system.
