This work tries, in a brief synthesis, the life and work of the doctor Rolando Buenavilla Recio, student-founder of the Varona Pedagogic, and one of its excellent professors, during 51 years of uninterrupted work. It was Titular Professor and Consulting Professor of this University and the carried numerous investigations, as well as tutor a significant number of Thesis of Doctorate, Thesis of Master and Work of Diplomas. On September 2, 2017, this famous professor died, but his work is a masthead luck that points out us the road in the formation of professors in Cuba.
