With the goal of contributing to the improvement of the professional performance of primary health care psychologists in relation to the detection of alert signs of the autism spectrum in early childhood, the design and application of an educational program is proposed taking into account the theoretical and methodological bases, as well as the methods, of the theory of Advanced Education. The program is developed in five stages and includes the completion of a postgraduate course in which methods such as group discussion, the experiential method, modeling, among others are used, which allows the development of knowledge in the area of the early detection of autism spectrum disorder, as well as the development of skills and values. With the active participation of the participants and in an open and flexible way, group and personal development is promoted that allows the improvement of professional performance and consequently human improvement, fulfilling a guiding principle of the theory of Advanced Education with the linkage of the theory and practice.
