Emotional intelligence plays an important role in the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language. In the research that was carried out, we make reference to some important aspects about emotional intelligence, from the theoretical point of view, as well as the results obtained while applying them in simulated situations during the teaching-learning process of Integrated English Practice VI. The article is derived from the research Project: “The enhancement of English teaching in Primary, High and Higher Educations”, at the School of Education in Foreign Languages from Enrique José Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences, attached to the National Program: The Cuban Educational System: perspective of development.
