ARROYO FABARS, Jose Manuel; VELAZQUEZ, Manuel Díaz  y  LAFARGUE PEREZ, Francisco. Formulation of lubricant grease using like dispersing mean jatropha curcas l. Oil. RTQ [online]. 2015, vol.35, n.1, pp. 73-80. ISSN 2224-6185.

Two of the big problems to face at the moment for the humanity, are the energy crisis because of the exhaustion of the fossil fuels and the contamination of the environment due to the different noxious substances that are poured to the rivers, seas, soils, atmosphere. That's why that man has been looked for alternative sources to reduce the effects of the energy crisis and the contamination to the environment. The production of lubricant with vegetable oils is less noxious for the environment. The objective of this work consists on formulating a lubricant grease using like dispersing mean the oil of Jatropha curcas L. During the development of the investigation, the oil was extracted using a mechanical process. Later, was maked a chemical refined (ungummed, neutralized, whitened). The lubricant fat was formulated for blended of the oil of Jatropha curcas L, litio soap and the ascorbic acid like aditive. The chemical physiques properties of the formulated lubricant grease allow that it has been classificated as a multiple purposes and biodegradable lubricant, being able to use in ball bearings, slips and other general purposes.

Palabras clave : lubricant biodegradable grease; Jatropha curcas L. oil; chemical refined.
