An experimental prototype of an expert system for the diagnosis of a group of craniofacial anomalies, found in the clinics, is presented. This system is a diagnostic tool for orthodontists, residents and stomalogists devoted to orthodontics, and it may be also used as an intelligent tutorial system for the study of orthodontics.
