The need of computerizing the sampling in the anthropometric investigations made by the Department of Human Growth and Development of "Julio Trigo López" Faculty of Medical Sciences is explained. The options and advantages offered by the ASIMIL and MUESTREO computer systems implemented to this end are also described. Windows platform and MS-DOS were programmed in Fox Pro in order to have a larger spectrum of configurations to be included in the process.
