220 patients who underwent  lipid profile studies and coronary arteriogram were evaluated. They were divided into 2 groups, a study group with 120 patients carriers of  coronary artery failure, and a control group composed of 100 patients with the certainty that they were not sick. The lipid profile of the 372 off-springs of the control and study group was studied, respectively.  All the groups were applied the required statistical significance tests. A marked reduction of the HDL-col (alpha-lipoprotein) pattern was found in the off-springs of the study group (p  <0.001), with predominance in males. It was possible to infer the inheritance of this lipoprotein.
