Resumen

FERNANDEZ ROMERO, Tammy; GONZALEZ GRIEGO, Antonio Mario; FERNANDEZ ACOSTA, Félix Juan  y  GONZALEZ RAMIREZ, Victoria Esther. Proposal of an analytical methodology for the evaluation of immunoenzymatic conjugates. Rev Cubana Invest Bioméd [online]. 2007, vol.26, n.1, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3011.

An analytical stage algorithm was proposed for evaluating the immunoenzymatic conjugates. They should be evaluated in the system where they are going to be used. This procedure has the limitation that if some deficiencies are detected it is not possible to identify whether they are produced by alterations of the enzyme, or of the molecule conjugated to it. The conservation of the enzymatic and immunological activity are key requirements in the obtention of a good conjugate. The algorithm starts with the enzymatic evaluation followed by immunological appraisal and, finally, by the assessment of the specific activity of the product as a conjugate. This methodology may also be a way of saving time and resources, once the reference values for the work are established. It was concluded that the proposed analytical algorithm may be a suitable procedure for the adequate characterization of immunoenzymatic conjugates.

Palabras clave : ELISA; conjugate evaluation; enzymatic activity; immunological activity.
