Resumen

MERA CHOEZ, Oswaldo; PEREZ GONZALEZ, José  y  LOPEZ RODRIGUEZ DEL REY, María Magdalena. LINK BASIC BIOMEDICAL AND CLINICAL SCIENCES IN THE EDUCATION OF THE DOCTOR IN ECUADOR. Conrado [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.64, pp. 80-84.  Epub 08-Jun-2019. ISSN 1990-8644.

Linking the basic biomedical sciences with the clinics in the training of the doctor is a contemporary requirement. The integrated teaching of these disciplines, through the structuring of a system of teaching tasks from professional cases, with the purpose of achieving, in addition to an important motivation in the students who start their training, to discover the relevant knowledge for the practice of the profession; enables the development of cognitive independence. In this case we try to overcome the traditional teaching of basic biomedical sciences rooted in universities that train health professionals in Ecuador, obsolete teaching practice that leads students to lose interest in learning these disciplines, as they feel overwhelmed and impotent in trying to memorize and reproduce countless and irrelevant data from their passivity in the classroom.

Palabras clave : Integration of knowledge; basic and clinical sciences; problem teaching tasks; professional cases; cognitive independence.
