Cuban society has a high value, so they strive to achieve full Social Inclusion, which sustains its function of contributing to improve personal development and to build a society more tolerant of diversity. However, there are still inadequacies in daily practice and systematic interventions that are needed, which acquire a greater value if it concerns schoolchildren with visual disabilities. The result shown in this article has a theoretical and practical validity based on the author's experience, together with the use of scientific research methods. In this sense, we reflect on the contribution of the Cienfuegos public library in the process of social inclusion of people with visual disabilities so that this makes effective the principle of learning to live accepting differences.
