The management of student research activity is necessary to improve it so that it is a conscious, systematic, dynamic, innovative and interactive process through which the governing bodies in the university, through the fulfillment of their functions, guide the action towards horizontal integration and vertical of the substantive processes to favor the development of investigative competences that contribute to raising the quality of the graduate in their relationship with other subjects, the demands of society and fulfilling the objectives proposed by the universities, for which a alternative based on the systematization of management theory and university management that facilitates it in the management bodies, and contributes to the formation of research competencies in the graduate, transforming the problems that emerge from social practice in a creative and innovative. The article presents the results of its evaluation at the University of Matanzas, Cuba and at the National Technological Institute of Mexico/Tantoyuca campus, Mexico that allow to affirm its validity, viability and feasibility.
