The training of professionals is a topic of interest and reflection for many, since the development of a country depends to a great extent on the preparation of its professionals. In the specific case of the Republic of Ecuador, the implementation of training strategies and models that move away from traditional methods have contributed to raise the level of Higher Education graduates, improving the quality of the teaching-learning process, as well as the link between universities and companies where students put into practice the knowledge received in the academy. This article aims to conduct a study that considers how the training of professionals in Higher Education in the Republic of Ecuador has been developed, for which theoretical and empirical methods were used to collect the necessary information, among which are mentioned the historical-logical methods, the analysis and synthesis and induction-deduction, as well as the critique of sources.
