This article addresses the vulnerability of various populations in Ecuador due to socioeconomic, cultural and access to resources factors. It is emphasized that vulnerability in Ecuador encompasses various dimensions, underscoring the importance of policies and programs to address these needs and promote equity and social justice. The research focuses on the way in which information regarding catastrophic diseases can be reached in an educational manner to this population. The study adopts a mixed approach in which both qualitative patterns and quantitative associations are analyzed. The results reveal that access to information about catastrophic diseases varies among vulnerable populations. Barriers include lack of educational resources, low digital literacy and misinformation. To improve access to this information, strategies adapted to the specific needs of each vulnerable population are proposed.
