The labor insertion of graduates of Degrees in Mexico, in their professions of origin, reaches only 30%. The Bachelor of Communication is the most obstacles to obtain high-paying jobs. The above due to the democratization of communication technologies and new information consumption habits. In this context it must be said that there is a gap between the demands of the world of work and university education. Therefore, this paper analyzes the similarities and differences between the theoretical and practical contents implemented by some Communication Programs in the Mexican Republic, and the knowledge, skills and attitudes required by employers. The content of this paper is: a) Controversy on the conceptualization of the profession in Mexico, b) Approach to the labor reality of the communication professional in Mexico, c) Comparison between employers' expectations and communication curricular tendencies, d) Proposals and recommendations
