Resumen
MARIE RODRIGUEZ, Aline. Imagined Havana: A photographic soul for a city. ARCIC [online]. 2018, vol.7, n.16, pp. 3-23. ISSN 2411-9970.
The present study approaches, through the analysis of the urban imaginaries present in selected snapshots about Havana, at the articulation level of the city as a symbolic nucleus. This research is supported by the theoretical referents in relation to urban imaginaries, especially the paradigmatic proposal of the Colombian researcher Armando Silva. Likewise, the city is theorized as an object of representation.
The study analyzes photographs made on request and the result of the inspiration of fourteen creators. Both snapshots, from their particularities, shed light on Havana in the 21st century with its lights and shadows. In addition, they also offer a symbolic vision of Havana, a city close to its five centuries of existence.
