Media and Information Literacy (MIL) is a phenomenon from the beginning of the 21st century, it integrates several literacies that combine the skills to access, evaluate and communicate information and media, enabling the development of active citizens, democratic debate, social participation and empowerment. The MIL includes raising awareness about the right of access to information, as well as the importance of the ethical use of information technologies to communicate with others. The present article aims to identify the elements for the Informational Media Literacy program in undergraduate students of the Faculty of Communication of the University of Havana. For this, a conceptual theoretical approach is made on Media and Information Literacy. The elements that make up the Media and Information Literacy Program for undergraduate students of the Faculty of Communication of the University of Havana are described.
