The emergence, development, use, impact and need of the application of the infrastructures of the digital humanities is justified theoretically and methodologically. The objective of the research is to take advantage of the importance that is granted in Cuba to the documents of heritage value, to carry out the processing of the rare book “Historical Record of the Chinese in Cuba” with Digital Humanities approaches. This will allow the digitization and accessibility of the sample with DH infrastructure technology. It is proposed the use of documentary analysis, the historical method and the interview, as methodological strategies.
