Resumen

PEREZ GONZALEZ, José Manuel. A mutually interested relationship between History and Journalism. ARCIC [online]. 2021, vol.10, n.26, pp. 198-208.  Epub 01-Ago-2021. ISSN 2411-9970.

The knowledge of history contributes to the journalistic products depth and offers patterns to establish comparisons and determine possible directions. However, beyond this use for contextualizing purposes, historical journalism is a form of specialization with codes and demands, whose importance increases in scenarios of aggression and crisis such as the Cuban one. One of the techniques and genres most used by the cultivators of this type of journalism is the interview, which offers the investigator a first-hand testimony. Despite being an interdisciplinary technique validated by practice, it requires the use of complementary techniques in order to offer more objective and solid products.

Palabras clave : journalism; history; specialization; interview; objectivity.
