A study that included all children of both sexes from the municipality of Matanzas was conducted. The sample was composed of 250 children. A stratified probabilistic design and a randomized start scheme were used. The studied variables were given by the cardiac structures echocardiographically measured in mm and expressed by body surface and sex. Some of these variables were: left ventricle in systole and diastole, right ventricle, output tractus of the left ventricle, interventricular septum, the aorta, left and right auricles and the shortening fraction, among others. The results were shown in tables by percentiles and body surface. The measurements from 5 to 95 pecentile were considered as normal.
