Body temperature should be monitored in all patients undergoing surgical procedures in order to detect its variations early, as well as the complications appearing with them, such as malignant hyperthermia and accidental hypothermia and for monitoring induced hyperthermia. A review of the factors producing hypothermia during the transoperative is made. Its prevention and treatment are also dealth with.
