In Soil Science subject, the genetic classification of soils, the problems in dosage calculation, and the fertilizer formulae, are the main content, and to learn that content, the "comparing" and "problem solving" skills are of the outmost importance. When applying them through an educational strategy to University of Granma Agronomy's 3rd year students, it favors their development with a multidisciplinary approach. It was demonstrated how a system of procedures makes possible to classify soils based on the diagnosis horizons, with the determination of quantity of nutrients, according to its physical-chemical characteristics. All of which essentially contributed to the ways of performance in the fields of professional activity.
