This paper is aimed at describing emotional intelligence, determining how it correlates with student performance, and at providing students with the tools required for enhancing their performance by developing psychological and emotional aspects which have been neglected until now. These, along with the development of intellectual and physical aspects, should result in better students and professionals who will be successful and, above all, humane.
