Cuban higher education aspires as a social task to train professionals with a solid integral preparation, this implies the achievement of high professional competence, a broad socio-humanistic culture, and adequate political-ideological development. The article highlights the methodological work as a way of optimizing the educational teaching process, so it cannot be spontaneous, otherwise requires planning, organization, regulation and control, and is conceived to improve the quality of the graduate. The text intends to highlight some considerations about the methodological work and its importance in the integral formation of the students of the Architecture career at the University of Camagüey. The results of the analysis allowed to be made qualitative evaluations on the evaluation of the quality in the training of the professional in this specialty in the dimensions of educational work, methodological work and operation of the technical-methodological bodies.
