This research deals with Environmental Education as Public Policy, making reference to the Conocoto Parish, in which this subject is addressed in order to identify the importance of a public policy on environmental matters and the correspondence of this public policy with the regulations. It is a juridical-documentary, analytical and descriptive investigation, in which the Plan of Development and Territorial Order of the Parish of Conocoto 2017-2021, the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and the Organic Code of the Environment were taken as the main reference. In accordance with the above, the indicated problem was addressed, in order to highlight the importance of public policies in environmental matters, and in the particular case of the Conocoto Parish. It proposes the formulation of a plan on the matter of incorporation into the plan of the parish, of a specific chapter on this subject. It was observed that it is not defined in the Plan of Development and Territorial Planning of the Parish of Conocoto 2017-2021, an axis on the environment, and less on the subject of research, referred to Environmental Education.
