The definition, appropriation and implementation of a study method by students in their training process requires the definition of study habits that allow them to approach their own study method, face their academic performance and learning. This research addresses the relationship between study habits and academic performance in the context of a Peruvian higher education institution. For this purpose, a non-experimental, descriptive-correlational quantitative research was designed and the data collection was subject to a survey applied to a total of 136 students. To determine the degree of correlation of the variables, the statistical model of Pearson's test was used, where the main result is that there is a positive relationship between study habits and academic performance in students.
