Currently, there is great interest in working on the identification of the nutritional status and eating
habits of children, since it is one of the main causes of cognitive deficiencies in children, which can affect their motor development and academic performance, in addition, leads to a greater risk of diseases and generates larger costs in the health system. The objective of this research is to analyze the eating habits of an athletics team of children from 6 to 15 years of age, with a population of 21 boys, 9 girls and 12 boys who practice the sport of athletics 1:30 minutes daily, of Monday through Friday executing recreational activities and physical exercises for the development of coordinative physical capacities and improving technique. The study was with a quantitative approach and a non- experimental design, followed the recognized deontological norms and the Regulations of the General Health Law, quantitative food consumption frequency questionnaire (CFCA) and, eating habits as a final result of the study they presented an adequate state nutritional child who participate in the athletic team, this leads to better benefits of coordinative abilities for athletic performance.
