In the face of the inadequacies with the process of promotion of reading of the work of Marti, in the students of ninth grade of the Basic Secondary "Batalla de las Guásimas", the titled investigative work arises: "The reading promotion from Jose Marti's letters to Maria Mantilla" for what the following work has as objective to propose activities to promote the reading from Jose Marti’s letters to Maria Mantilla in students of ninth grade of the Basic Secondary "Batalla de las Guásimas." To develop the research firstly you embrace the theory with respect to the reading, to the reading promotion and activities. They intend activities that allow to give execution to the objective of the investigation using for it the letters sent by Jose Marti to Maria Mantilla that you allow to motivate the reading toward the teacher's work.
