The use of puppets in the Initial Education of Ecuador constitutes one of the didactic tools to promote learning in the childhood stage, since they provide positive values ​​in a playful and attractive way, which gives children motivation and fun when acquiring new knowledge. The present investigation is carried out with the objective of designing a didactic strategy based on the use of puppets for the development of oral language in children aged 4 to 5 years. For the development of the work, a mixed approach was used as a methodology, aimed at collecting, analyzing and integrating quantitative and qualitative research, using theoretical methods that involve logical processes at the level of thought, also using empirical methods to make a preliminary analysis of the information y and check the theoretical foundations. The main results favor the development of a didactic approach in the teaching-learning process that favors the achievement of an environment with opportunities for the child that allows him to participate, interact with his peers and join the game, putting him in contact with the world that surrounds him.
