The present research systematizes elements for the improvement of the presence in the Social Network Facebook of the Library of the Communication Faculty (FCOM) of the University of Havana. The main theoretical bases related to the University Libraries and their participation in the Facebook Social Network are presented. The presence of the FCOM Library in the Social Network is characterized. Good practices on Facebook by selected university libraries are identified through a benchmarking approach. To conclude, a series of actions and requirements are proposed to regulate the work of the FCOM Library on Facebook to improve its presence and participation.
