Resumen

DIAZ PEREZ, Maiky  y  CABRERA ARDANAS, Maudel. Psychology and Organizational Development - A New Course Based on Collaborative Learning. Rev. Cubana Edu. Superior [online]. 2019, vol.38, n.1 ISSN 0257-4314.

Changes in the psychology major curriculum are associated with historical and cultural evolution of Cuban society. A new psychology course at the University of Havana was suggested. This suggestion was founded on a literature review, document analysis, and exploratory questionnaires to collect information on qualifications which psychologists working for Cuban organizations have. The syllabus of the course Psychology and Organizational Development, based on collaborative learning, was prepared and implemented, taking into account roles played by psychologists in organizations they work for, and sociocultural contexts of students. The course included face-to-face classroom, and on-line practices. The results show that this course contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate training in this major in tune with the requirements of the new «E» curriculum, and Cuba’s National Economic and Social Development Plan until 2030.
