ABSTRACT: Tena Higher Technological Institute presents difficulties with school dropout, this comes from social pressures, economic, family and cultural situations, as well as the lack of knowledge of digital tools. The objective was to design a methodological guide to reduce school dropout in higher education. The research had a mixed approach, non-experimental and descriptive design. The study population was 399 students and 21 teachers, the sample was 196 students and 21 teachers from a simple random sampling with a significance p<0.05 and confidence level of 95%. A methodological guide is presented, supported by a system of actions to reduce school dropout both in the context of confinement and in the new normality. School dropout is the maximum consequence of the failure of students at this level of education, therefore, any action aimed at reducing it will raise the quality of the educational teaching process.
