BROCHE CANDO, Juan Miguel y RAMIREZ ALVAREZ, Rodolfo. Characterization of the use of the teaching aids by the professors involved in the New Program of Medical Training . Educ Med Super [online]. 2008, vol.22, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 0864-2141.
The main shortages in the use of the teaching aids by the physicians working as professors in the New Program of Medical Training in the Isle of Youth during the course 2006-2007 were identified. A survey and two guides of observation were designed. The survey was directed to 77 professors to know about their upgrading in the utilization of the teaching aids, and the self-assessment of their performance in their use. The survey was self-administered by the professors. A guide of observation to evaluate the use of the teaching aids during the content orientation activity was done among 18 professors, whereas another guide to assess the quality of the digital presentations was applied to 16 randomized presentations designed by the professors. The main difficulties found were the use of the teaching aids, the utilization of the blackboard, the making of digital presentations in power point, and the use of multimedia.
