HERRERA BETANCOURT, Odet Caridad y LLANUSA RUIZ, Haydee. Impact over an aquifer used to supply water to a desalination system of a gas plant. riha [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.1, pp. 43-57. ISSN 1680-0338.
In order to increase water supply to the desalination plant of the Boca de Jarucogas plant, there is a need to drill new wells, which could affect the stable hydrodynamic behavior existing in the territory, because the plant is located near extremely important sources of water supply, such as the source that supplies water to the Boca de Jaruco town. To investigate the problem it was decided to make two simulations: in the first simulation, the summary flow of 30m3/h required for the project for supplying water to the desalination plant was not included, and in the second simulation the summary flow was abstracted. The results of both simulations were analyzed and they provide evidence that groundwater resources in the territory will not be affected.
