A prospective, descriptive study is carried out at the Matanzas Educational Gyneco-Obstetric Hospital during 1992-1993, to inpatients with the presumptive diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy; in an statistical study carried out, a sample was collected with 103 patients with an incidence of 1,6 in 6 632 deliveries, and of the artificial abortions (second trimester included), 4 088 for 2,5 of ectopic pregnancy. The studied variables were collected in a data base in FOX BASE, and subsequently the multivariate analysis of the main components up to the sixth, was applied, finding out those factors that were the most statistically correlated in our environment with the said entity, during the studied period.
