The issue addressed here concerns the construction of the African-Brazilian religious diversity in Southwestern Bahia, more specifically in the city of Vitória da Conquista, a subject that has been a matter of investigation by the author since 1997, under the competent guidance of Professor Dr. Josildeth Gomes Consorte. It deals with the investigation of aspects of religious traditions built over the years from the cultural relations between the different peoples who exchanged symbols in the contexts where they lived in the Backcountry.
