The research focused on modeling with XBeach, in its Non-Hydrostatic mode, the behavior of the waves during the occurrence of extreme events on the Havana boardwalk to determine the overtopping on the structure. The calibration - validation of the model was carried out for the storm conditions of Hurricane Wilma (2005) and the return period 1/50 years. The model was established and the coastal hydrodynamics of 6.25 km of the seawall was simulated for 49 hours of Hurricane Wilma corresponding to October 22 to 25, obtaining the specific and average overtopping on the wall.
