The current context, characterized by economic and migratory crises, has resulted in damage to the emotional health of human beings; added to these phenomenon is the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, conditions of isolation and uncertainty, new challenges for professionals from various areas, including education, with little preparation to attend to emotional health in this context. With the aim of exploring the potentialities lying in the students of the bachelor in education to accomplish the desired levels of training, this investigation was carried out. This is a mixed, cross-sectional, non-experimental and descriptive research. Its objective is to describe the socio-emotional variable which led to the checking of documents, the application of the self-report scale Trait Meta Mood Scale -24 and a group interview. The sample selected is made up of 17 students from the Bachelor in Education, English as a Foreign Language Major at Holguín University. The results obtained regarding the way students perceive themselves, according to the elements that integrate emotional intelligence, were mainly positive. It was confirmed the existence, in the country, of several investigations that deal with the socio-emotional formation of the education professionals, being the aforementioned investigations referential for the designing of actions towards the training of such professionals in the facing of the psychological repercussions of months in isolation.
