GALFRASCOLI, Adrián; VENICA, Melina y ZANUTTINI, Florencia. The teaching of natural sciences to early ages. Case study in two 4-year-old rooms in an urban-marginal garden in the north of Santa Fe, Argentina. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.77, pp. 442-450. Epub 02-Dic-2020. ISSN 1990-8644.
The article presents some results of a case study that addressed the teaching of natural sciences in early childhood education. The work was carried out in two four-year rooms in a garden in the north of the Province of Santa Fe, in Argentina, at the beginning of this school year. The actions respond to the need to generate knowledge about science teaching practices at this level and the role that language plays in them, in the territory where the authors of this work serve as trainers. The results show the potential of institutions at this level to scientifically literate young children. The teaching becomes significant because the selected contents respond both to the official curriculum and to the needs of the neighborhood community. The teaching strategies are structured around the game and the communicative interactions are mainly based on oral verbal language.
