Didactic guides are an increasingly significant and functional resource in higher education. They are a learning resource that optimizes the development of teaching and learning processes, since they allow organizing information and guiding the study process of students. Didactic guides can also be prepared for a diversity of learning modalities and ways of organizing teaching-learning. Likewise, the importance of the design of the didactic guides is highlighted as an indispensable resource in the teaching and learning processes, due to the facility that it offers to the students to facilitate and improve the quality of education in general. The present investigation seeks to energize the educational process in terms of the balance of the quantum of the custodial sentence when two legal figures concur in the punitive procedural sphere, which are effective cooperation and the abbreviated procedure. Through the qualitative method, specific cases of application of the aforementioned figures are addressed to find an adequate legal mechanism that allows observing the basic guarantees to be applied within all criminal proceedings, guaranteeing due proportionality in the application of the sentence, also avoiding impunity in those cases that have legal-criminal relevance.
