Local development constitutes one of the political priorities of the government, it urges to strengthen the link university-society-community, context that demands the guiding action of the project "The continuous formation of human potential for local development. Contributions of the Chair of Advanced Education", managed by this scientific group of the Enrique José Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences. It recognizes, from the postulates, categories, principles, regularities and laws of this theory, the potentialities to promote, organize, execute and evaluate the professional and human improvement in different scenarios, highlighting the importance of the continuous training of human potential and the generation of new knowledge, in view of the unquestionable need to offer higher quality of life indexes to the population, through the different services received in each territory and to implement effective local community development processes that reduce the present social problems. In this sense, the article socializes the contribution of valuable studies based on the Theory of Advanced Education that allow to verify its projection towards the management of local development and social participation, from the systematization of the contributions as an innovative expression of pedagogical sciences and its internalization through different ways in synergy with other institutions.
