Resumen
ARIAS GILART, Ramón et al. Reducing emissions of carbon monoxide using magnetic fuel treatment. cen. az. [online]. 2018, vol.45, n.1, pp. 21-31. ISSN 2223-4861.
The behavior of the carbon monoxide (CO) emissions produced by the Lister Petter LPWS2 test generator, using magnetically treated diesel as fuel, was evaluated in this investigation. The magnetic treatment of diesel was carried out before its introduction into the engine tanks. An experimental installation and a magnetic conditioner with an average induction of 0.4 T was used for this porpoise. A Testo 350 Gas Analyzer was used to determine the CO emissions of the generator set when it operates at maximum load. The statistical analysis of the data showed that with the magnetic treatment of diesel, the CO emissions produced by the generator are reduced by approximately 21.3%. The magnetic treatment of the fuel contributed to achieve a more complete combustion, which improvements use of fuel energy. From the environmental point of view, the emissions of one of the largest pollutants in the Earth's atmosphere and one of the gases most toxic to humans were reduced.
