OUYANG, Chaofan y SILVERIO PEREZ, Tania. The Realization of Spanish Intonation in Southern Chinese Students: The Question. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.3 Epub 01-Dic-2023. ISSN 2308-0132.
China encompasses a vast region in which a significant number of cultures and dialects coexist which, in their adstrato relationship, interact with Mandarin Chinese and determine its expression in each region. This reality, together with personal experience, promoted the researcher's reflection on the intonation of the Spanish of southern Chinese, especially those who study at the Hunan International University of Economic Studies. For this reason, the objective of this work is to describe the performance of the intonation of Spanish, specifically the interrogation, by southern Chinese students of that university, in order to assess didactic strategies for their teaching. We worked with oral language samples from twelve A2 level Spanish students. The analysis of the corpus was carried out from the auditory perception and the use of the Praat software. It made it possible to verify that, in most cases, there is a great difference between the informants' achievements, since some tend more to interrogatives with an ascending ending than a descending one.
